Calderon bets Ronaldo and Bale would leave Real Madrid for Manchester United
If we look at the developments happening in the backyard of Real Madrid dressing room, there is a strong feeling that something is cooking there in which could relate to the transfer of star players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Prima Facie it looks immature to believe that any of them can ever think of leaving Santiago Bernabéu Stadium but after a report published in the leading news daily: The Times, Bale could anytime leave the Spanish giant after sacking of Rafa Benitez and bringing in Zinedine Zidane on the top club post. This is a known fact that Welsh international has had good relations with the former Napoli boss hence when Benitez was asked to leave, it began a new controversy inside Real dressing room which could end with the switch of two highest paid players of contemporary soccer. Moreover, the report also says though Real president Florentino Perez is not willing to consider any offer to release its highest paid starlets, but if an offer ever comes he would not mind asking money to the tune of 150 million which could better compensate Real’s outlay of money they spent hiring Bale.
Even former Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon has reason to believe that both Bale and Ronaldo would head to England after their recent months’ differences with the top management. Notwithstanding, what is being flashed by the media, Real fans seem to be quite relaxed since these kinds of rumors have ever been there with no result eventually hence they can dream of having more world records from the players in coming years! While supporting his claim, Calderon, the Real president from 2006 and 2009, said, “I get the impression that everything is possible for Ronaldo and Bale.
“Both players have said nothing about what they will do at the end of this season, and that is because they want to wait and see what is happening at Real Madrid. The top players in the world always have the option to move to Manchester City or Manchester United, to Paris Saint-Germain, to Bayern Munich, maybe Chelsea as well. These are the only clubs that could sign Ronaldo or Bale.
“United, clearly, are interested in signing both players and while it would be hard to do a deal to sign Ronaldo and Bale in the same summer, it is very possible that one could move to Manchester United. Of course this is possible.”
