Update: Saturday November 21st

After a 3-4 start in weeks 1 & 2, I essentially took a 2 month break. Life was too busy to give handicapping the attention it needs to do it properly. Starting in November I have a bit more free time. In Week 10, I added/monitored 2 picks thru WagerTracker and went 2-0. I'll be adding picks on weeks where time permits and I feel there are games worth playing. Check the home page to access any possible picks and most weeks I'll be keeping it as simple as possible by just submitting them to WagerTracker. So if you're checking click that link in the Free area to view them along with analysis.

Update: Sunday September 13th

Ok. If Favre can dust himself off, I can try too. I'm in the same boat and can't guarantee I'll play the whole season. Because of Fantasy Football and past experience I've looked at enough to make 2 plays. I'll post when I can and it looks worthwhile.

I won't be posting picks to start the season. I haven't paid enough attention to off-season moves or the preseason this year to make selections with confidence. I'll take it week by week and if I can get a good handle on teams and see winning opportunities I'll try to post a couple a week as the season progresses.

I'm further along with fantasy football and I'll post waiver wire pickups as time permits. Check back here weekly to see where things stand. It would have been easy to skip the season but I'm going to give it a go and try to add some things for my loyal visitors.

Ex-members and visitors, I had to delete several thousand emails that built up over the recent months. Too many to go through and I had to do a complete purge. If I didn't reply to something you sent, that's the reason why. I'll start checking occasionally.

Saturday August 9th, 2009

This is my 1st update for the 2009 season and after 11 years of running GameBreaker Football Picks I'm thinking about taking a break for a season or two.

I haven't decided yet and basically life is too busy right now. My extra time has been going into coaching youth football among other things which matters to me. I hung in last year because of all the loyal customers I've had over the years and wanted to give everyone a completely free season. Not too bad of a result as I beat out probably 90% of all paid services and delivered a 60-38-2 season without charging a dime. A big part of why I've done this for so long is to keep you away from the many scamdicappers out there by giving you a good source for picks that you can afford.

So basically I'm pulling a Brett Favre right now. Check back before week 3 of the preseason and I'll have a better idea.

The Super Bowl 4* pick on Arizona -7 delivered a final playoff winner and capped an 8-1-0 post-season run. The 6 Super Bowl props also combined for a small profit. The regular season and playoffs combined for a monitored 60-38-2 61% result and a 24-9-1 73% during the final 9 weeks. That ranked me #5 out of 332 at WagerTracker.

I hope everyone came out ahead as a result the picks and this season's free site format. I met my goal of delivering another strong season and beating out most handicapping sites, many of which charge an arm and a leg and are full of empty promises. If I kept some of you away from those sites, it makes the effort even more worthwhile.

Have a good off-season.
