2007 Regular Season Wins

Washington Over 7.5 Wins I'll back the Redskins to get 8 wins or more at better than even money. Injuries, especially on defense, were a big factor last season. They bit the bullet and gave QB Jason Campbell experience last year and that will pay off in 2007. As insurance the Redskins have capable veteran backups at QB and 2 very solid running back with Portis and Betts. I expect a healthier D line and quality cover-corners to make a big difference along with a favorable schedule. (WON: 9 wins)

Houston Over 6.5 Wins Houston won 6 games last year and they are a well coached team doing the right things to take that next step. Getting QB Matt Schaub will pay off immediately and they have upgrades at several positions. They showed their potential beating Indy at home late in the year and the pieces are in place to potentially earn a .500 season or better which would put this one well Over. (WON: 8 wins)

Oakland Over 5 Wins A huge difference in attitude is the biggest factor for this play along with a favorable line. The changes under young head coach Lane Kiffin have been remarkable. The Raider defence played extremely well at times in 2006 in spite of little support from the offence. You need a QB to be successful in the NFL and now the Raiders upgraded considerably in the off-season. I will definitely back a team with a solid defense, offensive improvements, and the right attitude to earn more than 5 wins. Keep in mind they would need to go 4-12 or worse for us to lose this wager and I do not see that happening. (Lost: 4 wins)
